The Oaks of Pasadena opened its doors in 1981. Since then, we have provided unsurpassed service and amenities for adults age 55 and older who enjoy independent senior living in Pasadena. The Oaks features 86 well-equipped, spacious apartments ranging from studio to one- and two-bedroom units. We also have a separate assisted living home called The Retreat. Both facilities are located on our beautiful 27-acre property that includes an arboretum, gardens, swimming pool and paved walking paths.
Welcome to June at The Oaks of Pasadena!
As we continue celebrating our 45th year of serving the Pasadena senior community, June brings a full month of sunshine, connection, and engaging activities across our beautiful campus.
This month’s calendar is filled with opportunities to move, create, learn, and enjoy time with neighbors. Residents can take part in daily fitness classes, Chair Tai Chi, Yoga, Line Dancing, and our always‑popular Walking Group, which meets every morning.
June also features a wonderful lineup of live music, including performances by our guest pianists Rocky and Matt and a special Music by the Pool evening on June 11.
Creative and social offerings this month include our Painting Class, the Needle Arts Group, Pictionary, Charades, and Trivia Night!
We also have several special outings, including trips to Dollar Tree, Trader Joe’s, Target, and a guided tour of The Gamble House. Our Lunch Bunch outing this month is scheduled to visit Sahara Middle Eastern Cuisine.
June weekends bring a variety of Sunday Matinees, with films such as Lovers & Other Strangers, The Alto Knights, A Few Good Men, and Seabiscuit. We’ll also celebrate Father’s Day with a festive Brunch from 12–4 PM.
Toward the end of the month, we honor our culinary team with a week of themed meals and special dinners featuring Chef Adrian “Chino,” Chef Alex, Chef Ignacio “Nacho,” and Chef Gabe.
Prospective residents are warmly welcome to join us for select activities and experience firsthand the warm, engaging lifestyle that makes The Oaks such a special place to call home.

It’s a warm, residential setting—combined with compassionate, one‑to‑one support—offering older adults a comforting alternative when living at home is no longer safe or practical.
Prices
The Oaks of Pasadena independent living apartments are leased on an annual basis, with monthly payments of:
Studio apartment – 480 sq. ft. starting at $4,000 per month
One-bedroom apartment – 740 sq. ft. starting at $5,550 per month
Two-bedroom apartment – 1220 sq. ft. starting at $7,850 per month
Two-bedroom apartment – 1480 sq. ft. starting at $11,100 per month
The Retreat assisted living starts at $7500 per month and is adjusted according to room size and individual care needs.
