The Oaks of Pasadena opened its doors in 1981. Since then, we have provided unsurpassed service and amenities for adults age 55 and older who enjoy independent senior living in Pasadena. The Oaks features 86 well-equipped, spacious apartments ranging from studio to one- and two-bedroom units. We also have a separate assisted living home called The Retreat. Both facilities are located on our beautiful 27-acre property that includes an arboretum, gardens, swimming pool and paved walking paths.
August at The Oaks of Pasadena!
There’s never a dull moment at The Oaks of Pasadena, and August is filled with opportunities for residents to stay active, engaged, and connected.
This month’s calendar features a wonderful variety of fitness classes, games, outings, educational programs, live music, and special events. Residents can enjoy everything from Chair Tai Chi, Yoga, Water Aerobics, Bridge, Scrabble, Bingo, and Line Dancing to Lunch Bunch outings, Paint ‘N Sip, movie matinees, book club discussions, and our festive Luau Dinner Show.
We’re also looking forward to celebrating our August birthdays, enjoying performances by our talented pianists, and continuing our popular weekly activities that bring neighbors together throughout the month.
At The Oaks, every day offers something new to learn, enjoy, or experience with friends.

45th Anniversary Celebration
Last month we celebrated our 45th Anniversary with a Great Gatsby-style extravaganza featuring live music, food and drink. Special thanks to our chefs for their fabulous hors d’oeuvres; our servers for doing a wonderful job before, during and after our celebration; and our community partners who provided beautiful decorations and raffle prizes, including: New Wave Home Care, Glorious Transitions, Rejoice Care Partner, Senior Living Advocates, Home Instead, Pet Porter Pals, Smart Set, and Moves for Seniors.

It’s a warm, residential setting—combined with compassionate, one‑to‑one support—offering older adults a comforting alternative when living at home is no longer safe or practical.

Prices
The Oaks of Pasadena independent living apartments are leased on an annual basis, with monthly payments of:
Studio apartment – 480 sq. ft. starting at $4,000 per month
One-bedroom apartment – 740 sq. ft. starting at $5,550 per month
Two-bedroom apartment – 1220 sq. ft. starting at $7,850 per month
Two-bedroom apartment – 1480 sq. ft. starting at $11,100 per month
The Retreat assisted living starts at $7500 per month and is adjusted according to room size and individual care needs.
